National Science Day

National Science Day celebrations of Government College of Engineering, Salem was organised on 13^th March, 2020, in the Padmashree Muthaiyan auditorium of the institution.  The Science association of the college conducted about 11 competitions for the I year B.E students and around 350 students took part in the various events.  The students who secured the first three prizes were awarded books, certificates and memento on the day of celebration as a token of appreciation.  The executive members of the science association were also appreciated for their active role.   The president of the Science Assosiation, Dr.R.Vimala, Head of Physics, Mathematics and English departments, delivered the key note address on the theme of the National Science day 2020 – ‘Women in Science’and briefed on how the various events of Science Association were conducted.  Dr.G.Vimala Rosaline, the principal of the institution, appreciated the students for their enthusiasm.  She insisted the students on protecting nature for a better future.  The chief guest of the function, Dr.T.Lalitha, Associate Professor, MCA, Sona College of Technology, delivered the chief guest address.  She detailed the scope for the future engineers in software and robotic fields.  She also motivated the students to be updated with the technology by doing courses in NPTEL.  Later a mime show and a science debate were conducted and the gathering enjoyed both the events.

 THE GRADUATION CEREMONY 2020

The graduation ceremony for the 484 UG degree students for batch of 2015-2019 and graduation for 60 PG students of batch 2017-2019 graced on 08^th march 2020 at Padmasree Muthaiyan Auditorium of our institution. 

The annual report and welcome address was presented by the principal of our college Dr.G.Vimala Rosaline. The chief of this function Mr.R.Sundharam, the MD and CEO of Aerospace Engineers private limited, the Salem Aero park, Salem, delivered the Graduation day address and awarded the degree to the graduands. 

This occasion was also filled up with golden memories of the parents of these graduating students.

👸👰👧 “மெய்யொளி காரிகை” 👩👵💁

The day for celebrating the women of Government college of Engineering, Salem. This event is conducted as a memorandum event for International women’s day. This year this event occurred on 9^th March 2020 at Padmasree Muthaiyan Auditorium of Government college of Engineering, Salem. The principal of our institution Dr.G.Vimala Rosaline headed the function and delivered the keynote address to the young women engineering students. This event was specialised by the guest of honour Dr.K.D.Vijayalakshmi, Diabetic specialist doctor at Manipal Hospitals, Salem. During this celebration TEQIP under phase- III  also conducted a workshop on “Women Health Care”. This event is also graced by the presence of all women superpowers of Government college of Engineering, Salem starting from heads of department, teaching faculties, non-teaching faculties, daily wage workers, etc..,

ZENITH 19.0

As quotes says "Exploration is really the essence of the human spirit", The ROTARACT CLUB OF GCE and ROTARY CLUB OF SALEM WEST has organised a wonderful event named ZENITH 19.0 on 17.08.19 where the students explored their talents in an excellent way. 
The function was chiefly addressed by RTN.R.SIVA, THE PRESIDENT OF ROTARY CLUB OF SALEM and the patron address was delivered by our beloved principle DR.G.VIMALA ROSALINE.
