The Day has come...

Ha!

July 20, 2011. The most longed day for the Chronies and the other GCE ians. After the decision of parting, Chronies were really expecting the first ever issue of the colorful Students Edition of GCE Chronicles Volume II. Though the chronies worked hard from the morning to release it this day as a Facebook event that was formerly created, would be like a promise to the world, they never gave up their fun; they pulled up each others legs with a bang of laughter, besides concentrating on the work. We missed the Mechanical II years who were on their Industrial Visit to Coimbatore.

When waiting in the lounge
In the Eng dpt
The compilation of 40 colorful pages of the e-book was over by 5.30 pm. However, we had a leisure time of about 40 minutes as the appointment with the principal was by 6. Should we necessarily explain how naughty the chronies would have been when waiting at the lounge outside the Principal's room?

Principal e-Launches....
We were invited in to the Principal's cabin at almost the time of given appointment. While Kirthika(IV yr Civil) distributed chocolates to the Principal and the other chronies as a sign of sweet start, Uday Krishnan(being the student of final year Mech), one of the Student Editors gave an introduction to all the other Chronies to the Principal Dr. P. K. Jayadev (HOD of the Mechanical Department). Hope the students would have never ever imagined to have an interaction with such a cool Principal. By around 6.30 pm, the Principal e-launched the GCE Chronicles Vol. II, Issue. I (Students Edition) as Dr. S. K. Chitra Lakshimi(Chief Editor/ Asst. Professor of English Departement) assisted him.  As Jinu Alex (IV yr EEE, the other Student Editor) and Prasanth(IV yr Mett) were buzy freezing the photographs, all the other chronies cherished the e-launch by clapping aloud.

Principal interacting with Chronies...
After a hearty congratulation, the Principal inquired Dr. S. K. Chitra Lakshimi and Uday Krishnan if the Newsletter Team is in need of any resources. Proposals have been made and few of them were accepted. We know you are eager to know what they are; but, don't worry. It will be announced in this blog at once it is signed officially. Thus he made our day.

Thanks to the principal Dr. P. K. Jayadev.

Regards,
The Chronies

  6. Thanks for your suggestion brother. Though the word "Chronies" doesn't mean literally, we would like to tell you why we named ourselves so. To know the reason behind it, please go through the following link.

We also suggest you to read our Chitra mam's editorial page in our Students Edition 1, to know more regarding this. Thank you once again.
